Hey man, i want to say first off that I think your product is rad. Seriously. It's solid, and the quality is there.
BUT. and this is a big 'but' -
I sat and read through ALL of your reviews, looking to see if anyone else found a solution to the issue I have. And dude, you're kind of a dick to any of your customers that have any kind of negative feedback or complaint.
I'm not trying to be mean in return, I'm just being honest with you here. Review after review, when someone mentions a problem or offers feedback, you seem more interested in dismissing their experience and taking personal offense than understanding it. In several cases, you openly imply that customers don’t know what they’re doing or refuse to learn, despite your “best efforts” (your words, not mine).
And of course sometimes the customer is a dipshit. Sometimes we are stupid or don't know what the hell we're doing. The irony is that some of these people are giving you exactly the kind of feedback that helps a business improve. Whether they’re right or wrong about a particular issue, responding with contempt is a strange way to treat the people who are buying your product and funding your business. They’re trying to help you improve something they already spent money on because they wanted it to succeed. That’s actually a pretty valuable customer to have.
My point overall is this:
If I’d seen the way you talk to your customers before I bought from you, there's no chance that I'd ever have supported what you're doing, no matter how great it is. I would likely have been a repeat customer, but that's very much off the table for me now, and it's certainly not because of the minor issue with your rounded corner seams (which you insist on denying is possible every chance you get).
I've decided to respond to your review with more detail. Thanks for getting behind the product.
As the inventor I'm well aware of how the product works. I put in over 1,200 hours figuring out every single aspect of the product, without an instruction manual and without guarantee of success. That time included listening to hundreds of customers and iterating on the design/materials until the product reached the highest quality I could possibly muster.
We have over 98% retention rates, meaning less than 2% of people return the product. This is incredibly low, far lower than almost any ecommerce brand in the world. The reason behind this is that the product simply works. It's not invincible to the laws of physics, but it's FAR superior to alternatives and therefore people desire the functionality and beauty of it.
The brutal truth of the few negative reviews we have is that some people have trouble adopting a new technology. Even when ziplock bags were invented some percentage of people disliked them because nobody knew to open and close them until they became educated. So yes it's our responsibility to educate people and sometimes that looks like telling people they are mistaken about how to use the product. You call that being a 'dick' but nobody wants to be told they are mistaken regardless of the way it happens. We value integrity above everything else in this company and that's how we've manufactured and sold over 30,000 units, and we'll continue to tell people they are mistaken if they are.
Oh, and I assure you the corners are rounded at the bottom of the lining. We custom designed them that way, there are no actual corners in the bag. That has been the case for almost 2 years since one of our good friends suggested that edit to the lining.
Gorgeous design + functionality, very sleek, well-made product. But... I think they hold less than advertised. I had what I thought was an appropriate amount of different-sized medications that were crushed to dust after a day or so. Now I shake the pills to make them lie flat before closing it. A bit disappointing, and I can't exchange for a larger size b/c I've already used it.
